Praia, March 20 (Inforpress) - National Police officers will hold a three-day strike, 30, 31 and 1 April, followed by a demonstration if the Government does not respond to their demands according to the National Police Union (SINAPOL).

The announcement was made today by the SINAPOL chairman, Jose Manuel Cardoso Barbosa, and in question are the claims related to promotions and salaries, and the Government promises that should be met in 2016.

"The problems were raised in 2015 with the creation of the union, but in 2016 during a visit throghout the islands it was described with diplomacy the state of concern in regard to the situation of the National Police (PN) to the Ministry of Internal Administration," he said, recalling that to date has not been solved despite diplomacy.

According to Jose Manuel Barbosa, despite the complexity of the security and the seemingly calm feeling of the class with the recent change of the Government, "the situation remains unbearable, with more burden and sacrifices on the shoulders before existing limitations".
